There is one benefit that I hold in greater esteem than any of those listed and would convince me to join Grazie, and that is the promise they won't send me paper junk mail ever. [Hair]

In addition to changing the color of the lowest level Grazie card from orange to purple, they also took away a bunch of benefits, reserved only for gold/plat level now, that being free 800/local calls, early check in when available, and 10% off retail stores at Palazzo, which was a nice perk for all Grazie members. Very little incentive now for purple members. Judging by the financials of Sands I am not surprised, losing shares are losing shares.

I hadn't noticed the local calls being taken away, that seems pretty petty!

Being merely at Grazie level, I don't expect much from being a member. But I have to ask: what is a "Complimentary Grand Canal Shoppes Passaporto". I haven't been on that floor in years. Is there some sort of fee now?

A "Grand Canal Shoppes Passaporto" is just a grand name for a book of coupons. I understand you can get one for free at Emporio d'Gondola. The coupons are good for taking money off purchases of merchandise in shops, for example, I believe there is a coupon for taking $5 off merchandise in the Phantom shop. If it is not much hassle to have it, and you can use it, fine; otherwise, it's a big waste of time.

This reminds me of my first trips to Vegas where I used to carry coupon books and went all over the place doing free stuff, for example, there was a coupon for a free try at pulling Excalibur out of the rock [LOL] . Eventually I got sick of coupons and did not seek them, and if they gave me, I would give them away. Too many coupons take time away from gambling. [Agree] [LOL]

I appreciate the information. Since Palazzo opened, I cannot recall the last time I was in Venetian. I think I shall put it on the to-do list: a walk through the Shoppes and maybe a meal at whatever is there. [Idea]
